most of you know how much i love my car and how much wrench time i put into it.

courtney trying to be nice offered to take my car to get inspected, and ended up getting in a pretty bad accident.

the good news is she is ok, and walked away with only a few cuts and bruises.

just thought everyone should know...

"I've left Derma-Tek. It's not a personal thing. Joe and I remain friends. It's just time for me to explore different avenues. I have a very varied taste in music and these genres just don't go with Derma-Tek's style.

I'd like to thank all the fans and friends for their support. Please do continue to look out for Joe's updates and new material. And perhaps in the future, some updates from myself as well."

May. 29th, 2008 @ 06:31 pm you boys like panties !!! err... parties
ok so i changed my mind about the costume thing for the party on june 14th, i decided against it, so me and mrs. derma-tek won't be in costume. it's probably better if we just dress for comfort. however if you still want to come in costume, that's cool too :)

the main reason for this post is i need to get a definite head count on who's coming and who isn't. all are welcome of course. i just want to get an idea of how much food and more importantly booze we'll need.

so once again the party will be on JUNE 14TH and i'm thinking we'll probably kick things off at like 3pm and we'll start doing food at like 5pm or 6pm and it'll go on til god knows when.

i would also like to suggest bringing blankets and pillows in the event you would like to or NEED :) to crash here and of course everyone is welcome to do so.

anything food or booze wise that you'd like to bring would also be much appreciated, since we're all raging alcoholics and i'm sure it won't go to waste :)

if you need my phone # or our address just shoot me an e-mail at: joe@derma-tek.com

comment here and let me know if your coming for sure.

It's turned into a much bigger production than initially intended, and we're absolutely thrilled at the opportunity to hit our home town for the first time in nearly six years. This time around, Joe Cains of Derma-Tek wil be on synths and Ian Staer of Blue Box will be on drums backing up frontman Charles Rehill, as well as the formidable John Duncan of Pinpoint Lighting causing seizures with his visual presentation.

PLEASE keep in mind that these events (Dracula's Ball) are known to sell out very quickly, so it's HIGHLY recommended to purchase your tickets early via IsoTank or Ticketmaster as soon as possible. Also be advised that parking typically fills up very quickly, so arrive early.

About this Entry
Nov. 7th, 2007 @ 09:25 pm musical variety
so do you guys really want more variety in a cd release?

everyone always says they do, but i also know that alot of people dig a certain sound musically and pretty much stick to that and skip over all the different sounding songs.

the reason i ask is because so far that's the best word i can use to describe the next derma-tek cd, variety.

it's sort of all over the place style wise on these new tracks i'm working on. i'm mean they still sound like derma-tek to me, just different, and i kind of like the idea of showing off different aspects of derma-tek on one cd. ultimately, i am making the music that i want to make and blah blah blah, because let's face it, none of us are getting rich, but it's still nice to have the one or two fans that we have.

we're not talking about this being the most innovative groundbreaking, new genre creating cd at all, it'll just be more a mix of stuff.

thoughts?
